Mission Statement
The FOFS (Friends of Fairfield School) committee is passionate about our school and the Fairfield community. We hope that our members will pool a wealth of knowledge, talents and skills to enhance the educational, social and environmental opportunities available to our children.
Objectives
- To raise funds to carry out projects not directly funded by Board of Trustees, Ministry of Education or Government by bringing together parents and teachers and working towards a common goal.
- To run social events for parents and children; providing an opportunity for people to get to know each other and have fun.
- To encourage parents to become more involved with their children's school and to develop strong links between home and school.
- To provide support for school events and other special occasions.
- To provide support to families in need in our school community.
FOFS have recently purchased the following items to support Fairfield School children:
- Basketball hoops
- Sports equipment
- Swimming lessons
- Numeracy resources
- Classroom blinds
- Vouchers for assembly certificates
- Sandpit and sandpit cover
- Librarian and Akoranga badges for uniforms
We want you!
FOFS meet termly to plan and organise fundraising events or brainstorm ideas, and are always wanting new members to join. Anyone is welcome! Keep an eye out in the newsletter for upcoming meetings, or email the team at fofs@fairfield.school.nz
